How do you get your team to perform at their best?
Two way communication is critical, ask questions and involve the talent around you.Help them come up with solutions, in doing so ensure that you demonstrate empathy & understanding of what the real issues are and implement their ideas whenever possible.
Some key learning's for me during this process is that first communication is the most important part of your job. Next you must ensure that your team achieves a greater understanding and is in alignment with their talent, passion and the organization to accomplish optimal performance. Always question your assumptions and ask yourself how can I effectively communicate clear performance expectations. Lastly examine what you can do to create greater organizational alignment. Doing so will create what is called a Career Best in your team.
